she is staying
awake more and stays on her feet most of the time (normally a birds "foot"
is actually their toes)

through rapid feather growth and is starting to look like an actual bird,
although she still has a lot of down. Surveying the

I put on Brand new
anklets and let her get used to them for several days before tying her
down to a perch.

being pulled across the ground so she has to chase it a little.
